Belief/Position Statement

PFC is a Christ centered Bible believing fellowship that believes that whatever we do in word or deed should all be done in the name of the Lord Jesus (Col. 2:17). The leadership, along with many dedicated volunteers are committed to a Pentecostal interpretation and application of word of God through faith. As such we believe that the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and contains the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and is the divine and final authority and source for all things pertaining to doctrine, faith and daily life of the saints.

God--There is one God; Creator of all things, eternally existing, infinitely perfect, and through the scriptures He has provided for us a tri-part revelation of His being: Father, Son (Word made flesh), and Holy Spirit.

Man-- Man was created in the image of God (tri-part being) but fell into sin and is powerless to save himself, and is therefore lost apart from the redemptive work of Jesus (blood) Christ and regeneration power of the Holy Spirit (Ghost).

Jesus Christ—is the only begotten Son of God (true God and true man); was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate, and is the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. No one can come to the Father except through Him.

The Holy Ghost (Spirit)--The ministry of the Holy Spirit during this age is: to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.

Salvation–We are saved by grace through faith because of the reconciling work (shed blood of Jesus) of Christ. His resurrection provides the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe. Only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith and are born of water and Spirit become the children of God.

Baptism--Water baptism by immersion soon after repentance (proper response to the gospel of Jesus Christ) for the remission of sins is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life, and publically identifies the believer with the atoning work of Jesus.

The Church-- The true Church is the collective gathering of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been born of the water and Spirit and regenerated to serve together as the body of Jesus Christ in the earth, of which He is the head.

The Return of Jesus Christ-- The personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is the hope of those who are in communion with Him (Church), and should have a vital impact on the personal life and service of the believer.

Communion-- The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Passover lamb until He returns. All true believers and only believers should partake.

Healing & Deliverance– It is God’s will to heal and deliver in this age. It is a benefit that flows from grace and truth (Jesus).

Future Events--There will be a boldly resurrection of all the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
